The IALAB/HAIvis UC team obtained the first place in the ImageCLEF medical 2021 challenge, Image Captioning - Caption Prediction category. They also achieved fourth place in the Concept Detection category, and seventh place in the Tuberculosis CT analysis and Visual Question Answering categories.

The team was composed by ten Department of Computer Science members, professors Denis Parra and Hans Löbel, Undergrad students Vicente Castro, Ria Deane, Daniel Florea and José Miguel Quintana, Master students Gregory Schuit, Ricardo Schilling and Pablo Pino, and PhD student Pablo Messina.
